Privacy Policy

This document explains what personal data Katib Studio (“Katib”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use the product at katib.studio, why we collect it, and how to ask us to delete it.

What we collect

• Account identity — email address, display name, and the Clerk-issued user id when you sign up. Used to authenticate requests and address you in product copy.
• Workspace content — ideas, generated angles, your editorial voice, and the decision Archive you build. Stored on Postgres (Neon) and scoped to the workspace you own or are a member of.
• Usage telemetry — counts of AI generations used to enforce plan limits and fuel the billing meter on /settings/billing. We do not log the contents of your ideas, angles, or decisions to analytics.
• Billing metadata — plan id, subscription id, credit ledger entries. Payment card details are processed by StreamPay and never stored on our infrastructure.

What we don’t collect

No third-party advertising trackers. No cross-site behavioural profiles. No sale of personal data to data brokers. We use Clerk for authentication, Vercel for hosting, Neon for the database, Vercel Blob for media storage, and StreamPay for payments — each only sees the data it needs to do its job.

How long we keep it

Active workspace data is retained as long as the workspace exists. Deleted workspaces are purged from the live database within 30 days; encrypted backups roll off within 60 days. Audit log entries (billing events, status changes) are kept indefinitely as a security trail.

Your rights

You can export or delete your workspace at any time from /settings — or email privacy@katib.studio for a manual request. Deletion is irreversible and removes your ideas, angles, voices, the decision Archive, and credit balances.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be announced by email to active workspace owners with at least 14 days’ notice. The “Last updated” line at the top reflects the most recent revision.
